goodness at the school
ummm best thing ever? yeah, my school has a step team. i knew i signed up to work in a 3rd grade with under 15 kids and got stuck with 18 ankle biters for a reason. step team. there it is folks. so good!
today was the kick-off for our 25 book campaign. they had an assembly to encourage all the kids to read 25 books or 1 million words this year. the local high school sent over their cheerleaders. oh yeah, and their drum line. goodness, pure goodness. i love it. the teachers were all dancin around to the music. it made me wish to be black so bad.
im not sure what we are going to do this weekend. maybe a visit to piedmont park downtown. they have a great dog park where the dogs run around without leashes and play. good times for the girls. i think we are going out one night for sure. we still haven't found our dream club here. everywhere has house music. props to the artists and all, but i love me some over-played hip hop that i know every word to.
